marion blythe at 15 months

Marion Blythe
15 months

My sweet baby is 15 months old now... and still very much a baby to me :). She has gone from very easy going to very assertive - she now knows what she wants and just how to get it!! Grace even told me last week, "Mom, I think Marion likes how she gets to be bad all the time and never go to time out." Ha! It really caught me off guard. Marion probably is getting old enough for an occasional time out, but I think I'll hold off a bit longer. She is still a bit behind on her gross motor skills. She pulls up on everything and cruises, and she climbs like a wild woman.... actually, she does everything but stand alone and walk. She doesn't try. In fact, her physical therapist and pediatrician both seem to think she is capable of standing alone and walking... if only she would try!

*Marion had her 15 month checkup today. She got 3 shots... ouch! She weighed 23 pounds and was 30 inches long, 50th percentile for both height and weight.

her first trophy

Today was Grace's last dance class of the year. The big recital is a week and a half away and she's super excited. The costumes are really cute too!

Grace, receiving her first trophy. She did take dance last year, but received a medal. She was so proud of her trophy. She put it on the kitchen table when we got home and told me it should stay there, "so everyone can see it!"

cowgirls

Today we put on our boots and acted like real Mississippians. We visited Jennifer in her new house and hung out on her farm. Baby Caroline will be here soon and Jennifer looked great! It was so fun!

easter morning

The bunny came...

One princess was up bright and early at 7a.m. to check out the goodies...

Her favorite treats... princess lip gloss!

The other princess slept in until about 8:30...

These little Easter piggy creatures were her favorite...

...um, beside the chocolate, that is!

After baskets, we got all dressed up and went to mass. It was a fun and relaxed day. I hope you all had a happy and blessed Easter:)

dyeing the eggs

On Saturday we dyed our eggs. Marion napped while we dyed; trust me, it would have been crazy!!

Grace is super artsy, and she of course LOVED this project!

After the dye, we got out the paint and glitter!

egg hunt!!

We celebrated Good Friday with a big egg hunt! Our whole little family went and we had a great time! The yard was gorgeous and made cute pictures!

mommy and me easter

We started the egg hunting on Wednesday with Marion's Easter party at Mommy and Me.

Marion is the oldest baby in her class and while the other babies were just hanging out in the grass, Marion was on the move getting LOTS of eggs!

Once she realized she could pop them open and get candy... it was over!

babies and a baby shower

First, a picture of my babies...
As we were checking out at the grocery yesterday, an elderly man behind us told Grace, "I have a little girl just like you! She's almost 50." How sweet! So yes, these two are both still my babies. They are waiting for the Irish Italian Parade at St. Thomas and came dressed for the occasion with their festival t-shirts. Marion doesn't totally trust Grace to hold her steady, so this picture was a feat!

Julia, Allison, Jennifer, Suzanne and Diana

Along with some of my childhood friends, I co-hosted a baby shower at my home for Jennifer. Her first baby is due the first week of May! We had a great time, I have known these girls forever!

days 3 and 4

On Monday and Tuesday, Jeremy had a teambuilding workshop at the hotel. While he was busy, we visited Grandma, my cousin Anne, and her girls, Molly and Kate.
Grandma looks great at 92 and the girls were so excited to see her. We were also happy to see Anne, Molly and Kate, as the very next week they made their big move to Indianapolis.

Grandma and Marion, all smiles :)
