tea time

I took the girls to a book signing last week for Sweeteas. It was themed as a tea party. I planned to make it a special date for me and Grace, but Grace asked if Marion could come along, so of course, we brought her.

All the girls... Mommy, Grace, Marion, and of course, Bitty!

sitting up!

My baby girl is sitting up! A few days ago she could sit wobbly for about 3 seconds. Today she sat several times for 10-15 seconds! Yay Marion!!!

visiting grandma

My Grandma... can you believe she's 91?

Yesterday I headed into New Orleans with the girls to visit Grandma. She's making an awesome recovery from her surgery last week. Grace had a blast playing with lots of the same toys I remember playing with at Grandma's house when I was her age. We are so thankful and blessed that Grandma is doing so well!
Trying to get both girls to look and smile for this picture was obviously too much to ask... wait, is sweet Marion pulling Grace's hair??

the old train station

Earlier in the week I took the girls to a playgroup playdate at the local train station. We watched a train come in and then played in the fountain! I'm thinking it may be fun to take the girls on a short train trip... getting a roomette, of course! Maybe it'd be a fun way to visit our friends in Auburn!
Amtrak's "junior conductor" hat wasn't near girly enough for Grace to wear!

This is my life... keeping up with my 3 year old with a baby on my hip!

It was so hot! It's been 100+ degrees this week. I wanted to put my suit on and jump in the fountain with them!

beach wrap up

Anybody still reading? :) I'm surprised you are, I've been a bad blogger lately. Between the new house, going out of town, Jeremy coming in and out of town, and entertaining the kids, I've just been exhausted every night. I'll start by wrapping up our beach trip. We had a busy second half of the week - we did it ALL - water park, amusement park, pool and beach... oh, and the outlet mall! We had a great time. We went with some good friends and after a week together in a 2 bedroom condo with 4 adults and 4 little ones, we're still friends... gotta love that!

Apparently my camera didn't make it to much toward the end, but here are pictures from our night at The Hangout...Grace at the condo's photo op... nice, huh?

Family picture... don't the girls look thrilled?! :)

Sorry Heather, I know it creeps you out... but I thought the fan was so cool! Yeah, I'm a total tourist... taking pictures of the fixtures... it was HUGE! You really can't tell from the picture, but it must have been at least 20 feet wide, 30 maybe?? Seriously!!!

The "backyard" of the restaurant was a total playground, Grace loved it.

Hanging out!

We had a great night... until about the second I took this picture! Grace was running wild blowing her new whistle when she stubbed her toe... she never recovered! Oh, well, it was fun up until then.

her first recital

I woke her up early from countless naps for the 5:15 class, she practiced all year, we dumped way too much money into it... but in the end, she danced and she was beautiful!

marching out on stage

Do you see that girl laying on the stage? Poor girl cried at dance all year and it was no surprise that she threw herself down and lost it up there. She's just not that into it! I had talked to Grace all week about what to do if her dance partner started crying or wouldn't dance.... YOU keep dancing! Sure, she was a little distracted, but she kept dancing!!

Mommy and Grace after the show. I emailed this picture to Daddy and his response was, "What is she wearing? Is that make-up?!?" Yes, it is, and she loved it!

is she sleeping through the night???

YES!!!

Marion moved to her crib in her own room about a week ago. Maybe it was the crib, maybe it was the rice cereal, but she is sleeping much better. She's sleeping from about 9:00 at night to 7:00 in the morning. It is so nice! This is her one morning this week when I went in to get her...
Marion relaxing on her minky sheet in her crib after sleeping all night!!

Just for fun... here's Grace at about the same age when she started sleeping through the night...
